Gornje Selo, Gornja Krušica
Gornje Selo is a small village, a typical example of Mediterranean architecture with over 100 meters above sea level protectively watching the rest of the island. Due to the fertile fields and proximity to the bays on the south side of the island, the locals here have always been farmers, winegrowers, olive growers and fishermen.
Nowadays the locals here are one of the few on the island that managed to turn tradition and agriculture into a tourist offer. Successful family-owned farms and oil refinery opened for tourist visits are part of the unique island offer, and can be found only in the Gornje selo , allowing guests to get acquainted with indigenous Šolta kind of wine, products from local olives, and try traditional dishes of our ancestors.
Gornja Krušica is a small fishing village with old stone houses and newly built homes in which private accommodations are offered. It is located on the north side of the island Solta at the bottom of the bay that is opened to the east. The nearest bigger village to Gornja Krušica is Stomorska that can be reached by road and sea. The village has a small harbor where locals doc their boats. The village has no restaurants or shops, so if you want to spend your holiday in one of the apartments in Gornja Krušica you can count on an oasis of peace and beautiful nature.
